Eurovision 2020 Tournament

Hello Dear Readers!

Since 2016, my closest friend and I began celebrating the lead up to Eurovision through a bracket-style tournament of songs. With the historic cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, I have decided to take our annual tournament to a new level. As opposed to merely posting the bracket for folks to use, this year I want to facilitate an actual tournament so we can honor the songs that would have competed this year – and their performers, lyricists, and composers.

Below, you’ll find this year’s bracket. The entries have been split by semi-final and ranked according to the final betting odds before the cancellation. Below is the final tournament bracket. You can also download a blank bracket (you can listen to the songs on Spotify or YouTube) to follow along on your own, do your own tournament with friends, or anything else!

Enjoy!

Iceland: Think About Things performed by Daði og Gagnamagnið

Iceland started the Eurovision season as the top-ranked song before slipping down the betting odds. Now, though, Think About Things has surfaced as the true Champion of the Eurovision 2020 season. Congratulations to Iceland, RÚV, Daði og Gagnamagnið, and all their fans.
